Acro Yoga

Acro Yoga

A fun but serious yoga style, Acro Yoga requires strength, flexibility, and technique. It will take time and practice but you will enjoy the feeling of connecting with your partner with trust and acceptance while toning up your muscles.

Your Acro Yoga Practice

The term Acroyoga was used in 1999 by Eugene Poku and Jessie Goldberg in Montreal, but it was popularized worldwide by Jason Nemer and Jenny Sauer Klein, founders of AcroYoga International in 2005. Nowadays, this yoga style can be taught as a part of a traditional yoga class or there are even free classes in public park.

What is Acro Yoga?

This yoga style combines physical exercises with acrobatics. Acro yoga is good for strength building, balance and self-confidence also in your partner. There are three primary roles in the Acro Yoga practice: the base (the one who is in contact with the ground), the flyer (the one who is elevated off the ground by the base), and the spotter (the one who watches and checks the base and flyer so they perform correctly without injury).
